Lutein as a scavenger of free radicals neutralizes their destructive effect and protects  our eyes. Omega 3 fatty acids belong to the group of unsaturated fatty acids. In a number of studies, it was  showed that a diet containing these acids reduces the incidence of cardiovascular system diseases.
